Psychotherapy and Counselling
The Barrie Anxiety Clinic is a family mental health center, offering psychoeducation, treatment, and counseling for all types of anxiety disorders and concurrent conditions affecting children, youth, adults, and communities.
We work with parents, caregivers, schools, and communities to help you achieve your goals and enhance enjoyment of life for you and your child.
We use only evidence-based therapeutic methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT). We also know that "just breathe" or "let it go" doesn't always work.
We are trauma, adversity, culturally, and LGBTQ+ informed.
Our counseling approach extends beyond psychological issues, taking into account the client's personal, cultural, social, environmental, and biological factors.
Educational and Speaking Services
The Girls Confidence Club offers a 6-week program based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) aimed at skill-building. Its main goal is to boost Emotional Intelligence among young people and enhance their biopsychosocial well-being. The program, developed by Yuliya Levina, a seasoned child and youth therapist and founder of the Barrie Anxiety Clinic, is enriched by her twenty years of experience. Yuliya's dedication to helping children, families, and adults in various clinical and community environments highlights the program's reliability.
